Directions to the cookout at Charlie’s place at Lake Gaston
From Raleigh, take Hwy. 401 north through Louisburg, follow 401 into Warrenton. Turn right onto E. Macon St. (Hwy. 158 Bus. East). Go through Macon, go 4 ½ miles, turn left just as you enter Vaughan onto Eaton Ferry Rd. There is a store there called Hasam’s Best Bet/Texaco Food Mart. Go .6 miles, Eaton Ferry Rd. will turn right. Follow that road for 6.5 miles, cross Eaton’s Ferry Bridge, go .5 miles, turn right onto Northside Dr.(gravel path, sign on right at road will indicate Whitby Cove). After turning on path, bear left every time path splits. Blue and grey trailer on right. 288 Whitby Cove Ln.
If you are coming from another direction, check a map. We are on Hwy 903 between Eaton’s Ferry bridge and the Food Lion. Anyone in the area can direct you there. Drive time from north Raleigh is 1 hour and twenty minutes.

Food will be served around 2 PM or so.
Bring your thongs and speedos, the water should be plenty warm.
We will be giving boat rides periodically.
Lodging: We welcome all to camp in the yard, and we will serve breakfast for all campers on Sunday morning.
