CBA of Raleigh

I'm 49.  I joined CBA/ABATE of NC when I was 19.  yikes.  I'm an AMA member, an NCOM supporter, NC's state MRF rep, a MRF (Motorcycle Riders Foundation) board member http:..www.mrf.org.  I am an ABATE of SC member and have belonged to many other ABATES.  I belonged to the Charlotte chapter for over 30 years and consider it home.  I consider Buncombe and Granville home and all CBA members to be family.  When you put a lot of time into an organization, it becomes your family.  I know my parents and sibilings feel CBA is my family too <grin>.  I joined for the par-tay and look what happened!  I've been chapter secretary several times, chapter legislative coordinator several times, state secretary several times, state legislative director for one and a half terms, having filled in for the officer stepping down.  I now am blessed with the status of director emeritus and am trying to learn to keep my  mouth shut.  I've owned a 1972 FLH, thena 1976 superglide, and now, oddly enough, am riding a 1993 Honda VLX 600.  Desperately seeking a bigger gear <and the money to purchase it>.  I love my Raleigh chapter and am really enjoying watching it bloom AGAIN... FINALLY!  I love to ride and love to travel.  I prefer to ride alone.  Not sure why, but that's the great "what is".
